Fourteen individuals were awarded the Icelandic Order of the Falcon today during a ceremony at Bessastaðir hosted by President Halla Tómasdóttir. The Order of the Falcon is awarded to Icelandic citizens twice each year, on 1 January and 17 June, in recognition of contributions to Icelandic society across a range of fields.
