Yle: Supo warns of security risks linked to data centres

Finland's Security and Intelligence Service, Supo, has warned that the rapid growth of data centre projects across the country could create national security risks if foreign ownership and operations are not scrutinised more closely. The warning, reported first by Yle, comes as Finland experiences a surge in investment in the sector. More than 100 new data centre projects are under development, adding to around 35 facilities already operating with a capacity exceeding one megawatt.
