Aalto works join UNESCO World Heritage List

UNESCO has added a group of 13 buildings designed by Alvar Aalto, Aino Aalto and Elissa Aalto to the World Heritage List, giving international recognition to a body of Finnish architecture that links modern design with public health, housing, culture and civic life. The decision was taken on 26 July at a meeting of the World Heritage Committee in Busan, South Korea.
