Business groups, farmers hail gov’t crackdown on illicit tobacco trade

MANILA, Philippines – Several business and agriculture groups have welcomed the government’s intensified crackdown on illicit tobacco manufacturing and smuggling, citing the efforts of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) under Secretary Jonvic Remulla. The Federation of Free Farmers (FFF), the Federation of Philippine Industries (FPI), and the British Chamber of Commerce
