AICC observers have consulted Kerala Congress MLAs regarding the Chief Minister post following a UDF victory, with VD Satheesan, Ramesh Chennithala, and KC Venugopal emerging as top contenders.

The Congress party is expected to announce its pick for Kerala's chief minister by Sunday, following consultations with newly elected MLAs and senior leaders. The party high command will make the final decision after being authorized by a resolution.
