A signalling fault caused significant disruptions and a halt in train services on Singapore's Thomson-East Coast Line, particularly between Caldecott and Orchard stations, before services progressively resumed.

Singapore's government will launch its first Build-to-Order (BTO) project at Pearl's Hill in over 40 years, featuring 60-storey flats as part of efforts to intensify land use. Another BTO project is also slated for launch next to Caldecott MRT station in October.
