A federal judge in Texas has allowed a lawsuit to proceed against the California attorney general concerning remarks made about ExxonMobil.

The California Attorney General has reached a $2.75 million settlement with The Walt Disney Company over alleged violations of the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

But the case against the California attorney general, prompted by his lawsuit over Exxon’s plastic recycling program, can proceed in Texas federal court.

California Attorney General Rob Bonta stated his office is closely examining potential merger proposals from Netflix or Paramount for Warner Bros., citing antitrust concerns and promising a thorough review.
