A dispute erupted in the Chisinau City Hall between municipal councilors from the 'Action and Solidarity' (PAS) party and city administration representatives, leading councilors to call the police after being denied access to an extraordinary meeting.

A network of at least 10 anonymous Facebook pages has been promoting the activities of the Chisinau City Hall since February 2026, praising the authorities' work and creating a perception of a developing city. These pages previously operated for cities in Romania.

The National Council of Historical Monuments has twice rejected Chisinau City Hall's project to restore the 'Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt' Public Garden due to the proposed use of granite slabs, leading to a dispute with the Ministry of Culture.
