The Magniers have been confirmed as investors in the €21 million acquisition of Rockwell Farm in County Tipperary, with the Coolmore family also revealed as co-investors in the purchase of the 325-hectare property.

Judge Deirdre Browne issued her ruling in Clonmel Circuit Court this morning.

Internationally known bloodstock consultant and Coolmore member Clem Murphy left an estate valued at €8.4 million in his will. Murphy was also on the board of the Breeders’ Cup horseraces in the US.

Shem Drowne Ltd pleaded guilty to charges relating to the destruction of over 1,150m of ‘historic hedgerows’

Coolmore company Shem Drowne Ltd has been fined €100,000 for removing hedgerows in south Tipperary in breach of environmental legislation.

Coolmore, a prominent horse breeding operation, has requested not to be subjected to maximum fines of €250,000 for destroying over 500 meters of historic hedgerows, claiming they were unaware of the legal requirement to seek approval for their removal.
