During a House Committee on Foreign Affairs hearing, Rep. Brian Poe questioned the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) and the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) on how to better mobilize the ₱21.3 billion trust fund to support Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs).

The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) will seek a supplemental budget as the Middle East conflict is expected to drag on, with more overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) wanting to return home.

Almost 300 Filipinos repatriated from the Middle East arrived in the Philippines on Thursday, the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) reported.
