Romanian DNA Raids Road Authority in Corruption Case Targeting Director Cristian Anton; Political Reactions Emerge
Anti-corruption prosecutors from DNA have conducted searches at the Romanian Road Authority (ARR) headquarters and other locations, targeting 12 suspects including Cristian Anton, the institution's head and former chief of staff to Sorin Grindeanu, in a corruption case where 350,000 euros cash was found. The AUR party reacted to Anton's detention, linking it to corruption around Grindeanu, while PSD President Sorin Grindeanu previously expressed hope for Anton's innocence.
