Cuba's interior ministry reported that four US residents were killed and six captured during an attempted armed infiltration of the island, which involved a speedboat approaching Falcones Cay.

The Interior Ministry said the coast guard encountered the "illegal" Florida-registered vessel one nautical mile from Falcones Cay in Villa Clara province.
