The Department of Justice has approved the filing of 44 criminal tax cases against three former Department of Public Works and Highways officials linked to a flood control scandal, involving P1.68 billion.

Former Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) officials Brice Hernandez and Jaypee Mendoza are facing three cases for graft, malversation, and falsification before Quezon City Regional Trial Courts, stemming from alleged irregularities in flood control projects.

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) is examining the computer of former Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) officials as part of a flood control investigation. Former officials Discaya and co-accused have been placed in separate isolation rooms during the probe.

Former Philippine Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) officials Tomas Rodriguez and David Padlan have been convicted of graft and falsification of public documents related to right-of-way anomalies in South Cotabato.
