The mayor of Paralimni-Deryneia, Giorgos Nikolettos, has warned that the Famagusta district's economy, particularly its tourism sector, is facing growing strain due to developments in the Middle East.

Saplings donated to Paralimni–Dheryneia municipality by the bicommunal technical committee for cultural heritage, have been planted along a road to enhance the area’s aesthetic appeal, the municipality said on Thursday.
