
Global Rollout of HIV Prevention Drug Shows Promise, Uganda Reports High Uptake
A ground-breaking new drug to prevent HIV infection, considered the closest thing to a vaccine, is being rolled out in some of the world's worst-hit countries like Eswatini. This global effort follows reports such as Gulu hospital in Uganda recording a significant 300 percent increase in the uptake of an HIV prevention drug, highlighting growing adoption of prophylactic measures.
