For the first time, all eight public universities in Hong Kong have been ranked among the top 100 in a prominent Asian league table. The city's two oldest tertiary institutions also secured spots within the region's top 10.

Hong Kong's public universities have seen a fivefold increase in admissions of non-local students with Diploma of Secondary Education (DSE) qualifications over the past four years.
