A court has granted police custody for Indian Youth Congress (IYC) workers arrested in Himachal Pradesh, citing 'justifiable grounds of arrest' and that the accused 'deliberately fled to a remote location'.

The Congress party has stated that rules should be followed in response to a showdown between Delhi and Shimla Police concerning the arrest of Indian Youth Congress (IYC) workers.
