A meeting between the Nigerian Federal Government and the Joint Action Committee of SSANU and NASU ended in a deadlock, with discussions set to continue on Tuesday.

Nigeria's public university system has been disrupted by an indefinite nationwide strike initiated by the Joint Action Committee (JAC) of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions (NASU).
