An elderly couple in their 80s survived a fire at Joo Seng Road in Singapore by taking refuge in their toilet. Their home filled with smoke originating from a flat located below theirs.

A man has been arrested following a fire at a Joo Seng Road HDB flat, which resulted in 10 people, including two firefighters, being taken to the hospital.
