Actress Magda Vášáryová will be honored with the President's Award at this year's Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, which runs from July 3 to 11.

The Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, the world's second oldest film festival, is celebrating two significant milestones: 80 years since its first edition and its 60th edition, with plans to honor actress Emília Vášáryová and screen classics by Powell-Pressburger and Ken Loach.

Kryštof Mucha, executive director of the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, commented on the controversy surrounding the film 'Sbormistr' (Choirmaster), acknowledging creators' mistakes but praising the film's quality.
