Residents in several areas of the Katsina metropolis in Nigeria are experiencing a fourth consecutive day without electricity supply, leading to widespread lament.

Kidnappers in Nigeria have demanded significant ransoms for abducted individuals, including a UNIJOS student and residents from Katsina. The demands range from ₦30 million to ₦150 million for their release.
