Cyprus has escalated its weather warning to red due to a severe episode of African dust engulfing the island, leading to hazardous air quality. The Larnaca Municipality has instructed staff to suspend outdoor work and advised residents to stay indoors and close windows as airborne particle concentrations exceed 200 μg/m³.
