The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) has placed National Capital Region (NCR) units on red alert as residents from Batangas, who had been camping at Liwasang Bonifacio, joined an Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) rally on Edsa. The heightened alert indicates increased security measures in response to the protest.
