The capture and death of the leader of the "Jalisco New Generation" cartel, Nemesio Oseguera, known as El Mencho, on Sunday in the state of Jalisco, Mexico, resulted from the cartel boss's partner, Mexican officials revealed.

Mexican officials said 25 Mexican National Guard troops were killed in the ensuing violence triggered by the killing of cartel leader "El Mencho."
