The president of the New Zealand Police Association (NZPA) has anecdotally heard reports of staff receiving threats during ongoing police pay bargaining, describing the response from senior staff as 'highly disappointing'.

New Zealand Police Commissioner Richard Chambers has sent a second letter to former deputy police commissioner Jevon McSkimming, requesting reimbursement for hotel stays after the initial request went unanswered, and is considering other options.
