India's Prime Minister stated in a letter to women that democracy would be strengthened if the 2029 elections were held with the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam fully implemented.

The Indian government is reportedly considering a lottery system and delinking the women's quota from census and delimitation processes to implement the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam before the 2027 Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand assembly elections.
