Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski has stated that there is no point in seeking the extradition of former Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski as long as he has approved asylum in Hungary.

North Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski stated that former Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski would immediately be sent to serve his prison sentence if he were to appear in North Macedonia. Gruevski fled the country in 2018 to avoid a two-year prison sentence for corruption.

Hristijan Mickoski stated that if Nikola Gruevski returns to North Macedonia, he has a final verdict, and law enforcement will secure him and send him to serve his prison sentence in accordance with the final ruling.

Mickoski advised the opposition SDSM to call on Vasko Kovačevski to return and face justice, rather than solely focusing on Nikola Gruevski, emphasizing that the opposition has not learned its lesson.

North Macedonia's Ministry of Justice announced it would request all court cases pertaining to former Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski. This move comes as another criminal case against him is set to expire by 2027 if he does not return to the country.

Ali Ahmeti reportedly expressed dissatisfaction to Philip Reeker regarding Nikola Gruevski's handling of the Ohrid Agreement, as well as the portfolios received by DUI and the behavior of the Albanian opposition and the Islamic Religious Community.

Instead of addressing a question about his predecessor Nikola Gruevski, Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski stated he had a feeling that former high-ranking officials from the current opposition would be prosecuted.

A Macedonian court announced that the "Waterfront Plots" case against convicted former Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski will expire in 2043, while the one-year and six-month prison sentence for the "Violence in Centar" case will expire on September 10 next year.
