The Supreme Court has ordered the release of Vikas Yadav, a convict in the Nitish Katara murder case, on furlough to spend time with his family during Holi.

The Supreme Court has granted furlough till March 7 to murder convict Vikas Yadav to attend Holi. Yadav, the son of former MP DP Yadav, has served 23 of the 25-year sentence he received for the murder of Nitish Katara in 2002.

Yadav, who is son of former parliamentarian DP Yadav, is serving his jail sentence which requires him to spend 25 years without remission in prison
