Members of Parliament from Mt Kenya's UDA party are demanding the resignation of Secretary-General Omar Hassan, stating that an apology is insufficient and threatening to leave the party.

Omar Hassan of the UDA party has issued an apology for controversial tribal remarks he made in Mombasa. He expressed sincere regret for his comments regarding the Coast region.
