Sony Pictures plans to wind down operations at its L.A.-based VFX firm Pixomondo, known for its work on 'House Of The Dragon,' as major studios look to cut VFX-heavy budget costs and AI tools advance, with some functions to be integrated into other areas of Sony production.

Sony is set to close Pixomondo, a visual effects studio known for its work on 'Game of Thrones,' after all current projects and contracts are completed.
