Qatar's Energy Minister, Saadas Sherida Al-Kaabis, is reportedly facing the deepest crisis of his career, leading to a significant loss of reputation for the small Persian Gulf state, a major global supplier of liquefied natural gas.

Oil prices have risen to their highest level in more than two years, after Qatar's energy minister warned he expects all oil and gas exporters in the Gulf to stop production within days.

Qatar's Energy Minister Saad al-Kaabi stated that he expects all energy producers from the Persian Gulf to halt exports within a few weeks if the conflict with Iran continues.
