Israel has closed the Rafah border crossing and Israeli settler attacks in the occupied West Bank have continued.

The crossing between Rafah in southern Gaza and Egypt is to be closed in the wake of the US and Israel's war against Iran.

Israel has said it is reopening the Rafah border crossing between the Gaza Strip and Egypt on Wednesday. Israeli authorities had partially opened the crossing on February 2 as part of the peace plan agreed with Hamas in October, but closed it on February 28 when Israeli and US missiles and planes began striking Iran.

Medical evacuations in the Gaza Strip have been suspended again due to the ongoing war with Iran, with Israel closing the Rafah border crossing for security reasons.

Photos have circulated showing celebrations as formerly exiled Gazans have been able to return home since the partial reopening of the Rafah border crossing between the Gaza Strip and Egypt. However, that isn’t the story for the majority of people seeking to cross: with only a few dozen people allowed through each day, many Gazans are stuck waiting, with no sense of when or if they will be able to cross.

More than 100 aid trucks crossed the Egyptian side of Gaza's Rafah border crossing yesterday following a three-day closure.

EU diplomats are meeting with the director of the Peace Board. Earlier, Kaia Kallas stated that the EU wants to be part of the Gaza peace process and noted the EU's mission at the Rafah border crossing could assist in disarming Hamas.
