Swedish coast guards seized the oil tanker Sea Owl I off Trelleborg, less than a week after another cargo ship was seized in the same area. The Russian captain is now suspected of falsifying documents.

The vessel Sea Owl I, which was boarded by police and the Coast Guard off Trelleborg, Sweden, has been issued a prohibition of use by the Swedish Transport Agency due to identified deficiencies.

Swedish authorities have stopped the tanker "Sea Owl I" on suspicion that it is a vessel belonging to Russia's shadow fleet, according to the Swedish prosecutor's office.
