The promotions of five generals from the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) are set to lapse if the Senate majority bloc continues to refuse to attend sessions, causing a delay in their confirmation.

The Senate majority bloc was absent for a second consecutive plenary session, during which the air conditioning was reportedly cut due to a tripped circuit breaker. Senator Tulfo urged his peers to attend, highlighting the lack of AC and Wi-Fi during their absence.
