Amazon's self-driving unit, Zoox, is expanding its robotaxi testing operations to Phoenix, Arizona, and Dallas, Texas. The company plans to deploy a fleet of retrofitted Toyota Highlander SUVs initially, followed by its custom-built robotaxis.

Toyota has announced that its 2027 Highlander model will completely drop gas power and be rebuilt as an all-electric, three-row SUV.
