UN Secretary-General António Guterres has urged the immediate release of 118 UN staff members detained globally, noting a significant increase in arrests in 2025.

The NDLEA has arrested an Amotekun staff member and two colleagues who were suspended and declared wanted over allegations of misconduct and breaching rules.
