Berlin-based sales company M-Appeal has secured international sales rights for Nicola Sorcinelli’s film 'Balcanica,' starring Matilda De Angelis, which is set to have its world premiere in competition at the 23rd Giornate degli Autori (Venice Days).

The independent sidebar of the Venice Film Festival, Venice Days, has announced its 2026 lineup, featuring films with Mia Wasikowska, Catherine Deneuve, and Rupert Friend, and opening with Lili Horvát’s ‘My Notes on Mars’ starring Mackenzie Davis and Rupert Friend.
