The Writers Guild of America West's staff has voted to remain on strike, extending their standoff with management into its second month.

The WGA West Staff Union has presented a new, 'strike-ending' contract proposal to executive director Ellen Stutz, taking a different approach after previous attempts to bring WGA West leadership back to the bargaining table were unsuccessful.
