Bulgaria Faces Audit Over Slow Disbursement of EU Funds for Coal Regions

An extraordinary audit has been launched in Bulgaria regarding the procedure for diversifying and adapting small and medium-sized enterprises to the economic transition, due to suspicions about the implementation process and project selection criteria, with only 7.5% of EU funds for coal regions disbursed.
