Maria Skłodowska-Curie's WWI Contributions as Ambulance Driver

During World War I, Maria Skłodowska-Curie left her laboratory to contribute to the war effort. She became the first woman in Europe to obtain a truck driver's license and established a fleet of ambulances, famously known as "Petites Curie."
