Basque Government Requests Transfer of Picasso's 'Guernica' to Bilbao

Spain’s Basque regional government has formally requested the transfer of Pablo Picasso's iconic 1937 anti-war painting, 'Guernica,' from the Museo Reina Sofía in Madrid to the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao. This would mark the first time the painting leaves Madrid.
