Egypt Implements Visa Revolution: QR Codes Replace Stickers, Fees Increase

Egypt is changing its visa regulations, replacing traditional passport stickers with electronic QR codes and increasing the visa cost to $36. The new system will be piloted in Cairo on August 1.
