University of Zurich Rector Criticizes Arbitrary Tuition Fees but Opposes Increases

Michael Schaepman, Rector of the University of Zurich, stated that the current 720 Swiss Francs tuition fee is arbitrary but expressed opposition to increasing student contributions. He also suggested that foreign students should commit to staying in Switzerland after graduation instead of facing higher fees.
