Defence minister Rajnath Singh unveils key policy reforms in Indian Coast Guard

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh introduced two key policy reforms for the Indian Coast Guard. These reforms promote gender parity in officer induction and streamline ex-gratia payments. Women candidates will now join the service on equal footing with male counterparts. The new policies also accelerate compensation for families of missing personnel.
