Scholars meet in Graz for 'Italianistiktag'
(ANSA) - ROMA, 20 FEB - The 2026 edition of 'Italianistiktag', the most important conference on Italian studies in the German-speaking world organized every two years by the Deutsche Italianistikverband, will be held for the first time in Austria, at the University of Graz.
Established in 1997, the event brings together scholars and researchers to present and discuss the latest findings in the fields of linguistics, literature, culture, and Italian language teaching.
The theme chosen for this edition, 'Intrecci – dinamiche, strutture, motivi' (Intertwining – dynamics, structures, motifs), aims to explore literary, linguistic, and cultural phenomena characterized by multiple interconnections and interactions, offering a platform for interdisciplinary discussion between scholars from German-speaking and international areas. The event, from February 26 to 28, is in collaboration with the Italian Embassy and the Italian Cultural Institute in Vienna.
