Representatives from EU member states and the European Parliament have reached an agreement on stricter rules aimed at punishing online child abuse, with the updated regulations also addressing the increasing use of artificial intelligence in such crimes.

Predstavniki članic EU in Evropskega parlamenta so dosegli dogovor o strožjih pravilih glede kaznovanja zlorab otrok na spletu, tudi v luči vse bolj razširjene uporabe umetne inteligence. Prenovljena pravila bodo zajemala več kaznivih dejanj, določala višje kazni in zagotavljala učinkovitejši pregon, tudi s podaljšanjem zastaralnih rokov.
