PM Takaichi Announces Alternative Crude Oil Procurement, No Strategic Reserve Release
Prime Minister Takaichi announced that Japan is making progress in diversifying its crude oil procurement, with over 70% of alternative sources not passing through the Strait of Hormuz expected by June. She also stated that no additional national oil reserves would be released in May.
