Billionaire co-founder of US tech giant charged with smuggling Nvidia chips to China

Super Micro Computer co-founder Wally Liaw has resigned from the board following his indictment in the US for allegedly smuggling Nvidia AI chips to China. Liaw, along with two others, is accused of a complex scheme to circumvent export laws by sending US-made servers through Southeast Asia. The company has appointed a new Chief Compliance Officer.
