NYC Antisemitic Hate Crimes Rise by 70% in May 2026

New York City reported a 70% increase in antisemitic hate crimes in May 2026 compared to May 2025, with 41 confirmed incidents. So far in 2026, there have been 152 confirmed antisemitic hate crimes, alongside other hate crimes targeting Muslims, Asian, and Black individuals.
