Guinea-Bissau Civil Society Leader Assassinated, Private Radio Stations Closed

Vigário Balanta, a prominent civil society figure and vocal critic of the regime in Guinea-Bissau, was found dead with two bullets in his body, while private radio stations in the country were subsequently shut down.
